Thank you to all who have donated to our Roof Restoration Fund. So far we have raised close to $400,000!

We have begun urgent roof repairs to stop the water leaks to get our roof up to restoration standards.

We will keep you posted and update you with our progress.

We appreciate your ongoing financial support, as there will be more work to be done.

The restoration work has been carried out to the fleche (steeple over the transept), north and south naves.

Work has been completed for the sacristy and half of the western facing transept.

The repairs so far amount to around $300,000, of which scaffolding to access the very high roof was just over $100,000.

The remaining roof repairs will be around $60,000.

Ways to contribute

• Make a tax-deductible donation before 25 June. Donations received by this date can be transferred to the National Trust for the issue of tax-deductible receipts.
• If you already contribute regularly to the parish, consider increasing your weekly gift.
• If you give occasionally, consider becoming a regular weekly supporter.
• Make a special one-off contribution towards the restoration fund.
• Volunteer your professional skills in areas such as grant writing, heritage conservation, project management, communications, accounting, or fundraising.
• Assist the parish Finance Committee with grant applications to Heritage Victoria and other funding bodies. This important work requires time, attention to detail, and a commitment to follow applications through to completion.
• Help organise fundraising activities and community events.
• Introduce potential sponsors, donors, philanthropic trusts, or businesses that may be interested in supporting the restoration project.
• Consider leaving a bequest to help preserve the church for future generations.
