To date, the Restoration Appeal has funded the following:

  • restoration of almost 50% of exterior stonework;
  • repairs to roofs;
  • electrical repairs and total rewiring
  • essential plumbing works;
  • restoration of all painted surfaces in church interior, including reinstatement of the elaborate 19th-century stencil patterns on apse and chapel walls;
  • restoration of the high altar and seven lesser altars;
  • restoration of all brass and gilded fittings in the church;
  • restoration of all timber surfaces and furnishings;
  • restoration of timber floors and reinstatement of tessellated tiled surfaces;
  • restoration, repairs and provision of protective coverings to stained glass, painted glass, and leadlight windows;
  • restoration of sacristies;
  • restoration of baptismal font and its podium; and
  • refurbishment of organ casework and pipes.
